We wanted to have a pair of chop sticks be included in the wedding gifts for our guests.

I found this amazing picture and have decided to wrap the chop sticks in origami paper, and make them into little geisha 

Fabric Fabric Fabric

So I went looking for Bridesmaid dress fabric a few weeks ago, and Debo went out the other day. Between the two of use we came back with a pretty good bounty. 

Our first St. Valentine's Day as Mr. & Mrs. Kokubun

For our first St. Valentine's Day Hiroshi San got me the most amazing gift. I had seen this knife holder a few months ago and had forgotten about it. A box came to the house addressed to me, and when I opened it up, inside the box was this knife block with a set of knives and a sweet note from my honey!

Save the Dates!

I have all the envelopes stamped and addressed. I have all the Save the Dates printed and ready to cut. Wow, who knew it would take so much time, but they will be going out tomorrow!!

La Cage aux Folles

I need to find a really great antique bird cage to put the monetary gift envelopes in, as well as cards. I found a great web site that has them on sale for 2 for $22, which is great. The web site is called  Save-on-Crafts , they have a few different designs like the ones below. I think I will stick with their site for the purchase.

Frame crazy

I love these frames and have seen them used a lot in weddings and restaurants. I'd like to use a few at the wedding. This one is from Ikea and cost $29.99. It comes in black and white. The one below has been spray painted which is what I plan on doing as well. I will paint them gold. Thinking I will frame a chalk board to write the menu on and perhaps do a welcome sign on another one, or the program.

So I had mentioned that I really loved these succulent cactus before, but then I  came across these beauties on Flowers by Bornay . It turns out they spray painted the plants to get them this color. I love them, and must have them for the wedding!!

why that's a clever little thing you've got there!

I really want to have these DIY mustaches at the wedding....but obviously  its been done. But I do love them. Maybe I can incorporate them into the photo booth area!

Bridesmaid Dresses

So we have made a decision on the bridesmaid dresses. We are going with this little number here

Debo is going to do the basic "under dress" in one color then have the silk organza ruffles done in a different shade of pink for each dress, they are going to be fabulous because of course Debo will do it up "Debo Style" and add a little flair.

Zoe Chai's sneakers

So I was totally bummed out to find that Converse no longer makes these gold X Hi Gold Sneakers, not only do they no longer make them, they never made them in kids sizes. However, my ever resourceful shopper cousin Leah, found there new ones on J Crew, I think they are an excellent replacement!!!
